Had the best experience this morning with Blue Valley H&C. Technician Tony Thomas came out to petform annual AC maintenance and was very professional, considerate and proficient in his skill, he arrived on time and was just so very nice. He checked the system and answered all my questions in regards to the filters, thermostat etc, he showed me the pictures and explained everything throughly to my understanding. Zach know this particular system very well and figured out the the system was defective and made arrangements for our system to be replaced. Despite having a very atypical furnace install, they made things right and stand behind their word. Isaac is a standout among their service people. I don’t often leave reviews until all the work is done but here goes. My furnace is 35+ years old and it failed to deliver warm air about a week ago. On a whim I called Blue Valley, a company I had not used before even though reviews are extremely mixed on Yelp, BBB, and Google (it seems that people either loved them or hated them). It seems as though the company has merged or been through several name changes (Blue Valley Energy/Blue Valley Heating and Cooling/Blue Valley Heating, Cooling and Plumbing etc etc) too which may be why some reviews seem outdated.
Although it was Saturday, Denise dispatched Chris who came out that afternoon and changed out a thermocouple and warm air was flowing as usual when he left. However, two days later, there was the same problem. I called again and Mez came out. He spent some time diagnosing the problem which seemed to be everything but honestly, I was not surprised. My blower had loose ball bearings. My gas exchanger was cracked and not exchanging the propane. My furnace was rusting on the inside and had a build up of carbonate. I feel like it was just the failing of every component once one goes. I’m sort of like me when I approached 60 years of age. Ha ha
Both Mez and Chris offered several solutions, and I agreed it was time for a new furnace on the second visit. Danny came out and assessed my house for a new furnace, keeping in mind that I would like it to be relocated to a more accessible location as I am nearing retirement age. No more climbing into or sliding through crawl spaces for me. He asked my preferences and did seem to be trying to keep my budget in mind. Danny gave me an estimate which I had my two (more knowledgeable DIY) neighbors look over. They agreed it seemed reasonable for what I was asking for but more importantly they asked if I trusted the company. I do know that I trusted Chris and Mez when they were repairing my problems and time will tell if I can trust Danny. I do get a solid feeling of genuine willingness (from everyone that I talked to in the company) to go the extra mile for me as a customer. I will update this review when the furnace has been installed and running for a week or so.

LAPWe were informed by a home inspector that gas was detected around our boiler. We called Blue Valley and they sent out a technician a few hours later. The technician, Chad, inspected the boiler and our issues were resolved quickly. He was very pleasant, professional and answered every question with patience. Chad is very knowledgeable and politely educated me about every working piece of our boiler system. We’re moving into a new home in a few weeks and I’ll most certainly call Blue Valley again for some remodeling work we have planned.
